Michael Jackson was born in St. Louis and grew up in St. Louis until he was a teenager where he made several records and tours in America and even performed at a show in the White House. He later left to pursue a career as a musician after he became a teen star.

Oscar Pistorious was born in St Louis and grew up there before he made his first album in the early eighties. He also played with many musicians including Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. He was arrested in New York City in 1970 for shooting guns at another person's home. This led to his arrest on weapons charges.

Oscar had many of his songs covered by other artists such as James Brown. He is also known as the father of hip hop music in the United States. He died in prison in 1997.
